About Jacob:
Jacob Tomczik is an associate with the firm Aafedt, Forde, Gray, Monson & Hager, P.A. He received his Juris Doctor degree from William Mitchell College of Law in 2003. He received a Bachelor's degree from St. John's University in 1998 majoring in History.
Mr. Tomczik was admitted to Minnesota State Courts in 2003. He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, District of Minnesota. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Tomczik was in private practice focusing on civil litigation including extensive experience in construction disputes and civil asbestos litigation. He tried a case in Minnesota District Court in which the jury found 100% fault on the opposing party.
Mr. Tomczik is a member of the Minnesota Defense lawyers Association and the Defense Research Institute. He is also a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association where he sits on the Construction Law Section. Mr. Tomczik took a key role in drafting the Case Management Orders for residential construction litigation which were endorsed by the Minnesota State Bar Association. The Case Management Orders are designed to improve the procedure and efficiency of residential construction litigation in Minnesota State Court.
