Four Attorneys Join Aafedt Forde

We are very pleased to announce that four workers’ compensation defense attorneys have joined the firm! Please join us in welcoming Craig Nichols, Joe Twomey, Evan Cordes, and Sean Taylor. All four attorneys bring with them solid credentials and experience, strengthening the firm’s core practice areas. Read on to learn more about what these impressive lawyers bring to Aafedt Forde.

Craig B. Nichols has over 30 years of experience in workers’ compensation and related employment law. He is licensed to practice in Minnesota and Wisconsin. One of his goals is to make complex fields of law more easily understandable to his clients. Craig graduated from Iowa State University, receiving his B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication and Political Science in 1987. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Hamline University School of Law in 1990. Since 2010, Best Lawyers has recognized Craig for his workers’ compensation defense practice.

Joseph G. Twomey is an experienced litigator with a fueled interest in trial work. Joe represents clients in workers’ compensation and civil litigation matters. He has extensive experience pursuing subrogation claims against negligent third parties. Joe provides strong advocacy and offers creative legal solutions for all of his clients. He is licensed to practice in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Joe graduated from St. John’s University, receiving his B.A. in English in 1992. He received his J.D. from Hamline University School of Law in 1996. Since 2018, Best Lawyers has recognized Joe for his workers’ compensation defense practice. He is also involved in the community by actively volunteering and serving on various boards of directors.

Evan W. Cordes has over ten years of experience in workers’ compensation and employment litigation. He is licensed to practice in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Evan’s focus allows him to provide specialized advice to employers who look for help to comply with complex state and federal employment laws. He has successfully litigated claims and won multiple appellate cases in workers’ compensation and First Amendment litigation defamation suits. Evan graduated from the University of Minnesota, summa cum laude, receiving his B.A. in Political Science and Journalism in 2007. He received his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law in 2010. Evan currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association’s Workers’ Compensation Committee.

Sean Taylor has over eight years of experience in workers’ compensation, construction and employment litigation, and general commercial litigation. In his practice, Sean focuses on his client’s goals, with the recognition that high-quality legal services requires an understanding of exactly what the client hopes to achieve. Sean graduated from the University of Rochester, receiving his B.A. in Financial Economics in 2010. He received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2013.
