Emily L. Johnson

Emily focuses her practice on workers’ compensation defense. She represents employers and insurers in all stages of litigation from initial consultations regarding compensability to formal hearings. She has also successfully litigated and won a traumatic brain injury case.

Prior to joining Aafedt Forde, she was a Certified Student Attorney for the Community Justice Project Clinic at the University of St. Thomas School of Law, where she worked with local community leaders to advance social justice projects. She also served as a law clerk for a local law firm in the area of Estate Planning and Elder Law.

When she is not practicing law, Emily enjoys coaching and judging high school gymnastics. She also loves to travel, spend time outdoors, and cheer for Minnesota sports teams.
