Celebrating the Retirement of Kathy A. Endres After 41 Years of Dedication

After 36 years with the firm and 41 years of dedicated service, Kathy Endres is retiring from Aafedt, Forde, Gray, Monson & Hager, P.A. Kathy has been an exceptional advocate for our clients, known for her sharp legal skill, practical approach, and unwavering commitment to resolving disputes with excellence. We are grateful for her many contributions and wish her every joy in this next chapter.

A Grateful Farewell

Hearing Kathy Endres laugh always brought a smile. Her laughter can fill a room and speaks of her full life and spirit. She was a fearless advocate for her clients, but she never lost sight of the value of maintaining a sense of humor in her relationships with both clients and opposing counsel.

Many attorneys outside of the firm would tell me over the years how much they enjoyed having cases against her. They knew she would communicate clearly and honestly, and if appropriate, seek out a compromise that would somehow make everyone feel the correct result had been reached. That is a gift in this practice.

I will remember Kathy most for her sharp mind, her keen sense of humor, and her laugh that would fill the entire office suite, even before 7am. Kathy taught me many things over the years. Moving forward, I hope she continues to demonstrate the good life with amazing travel, time with family and friends, and always a great glass of wine. Cheers to your legacy, Kathy!!”

Who would have thought that someone who started her working life as a waitress at Little Oscars Restaurant in Hampton, Minnesota, would go on to have such a long and successful career as a lawyer? Not “just” a lawyer, but one with exceptional legal judgment and skill. That’s the story of Kathy Endres.

But I guess we shouldn’t be surprised. Kathy learned early in her career that in order to be successful as a lawyer, more than anything else, you need to provide excellent service to your client. That’s exactly what Kathy did during her entire career. She knew her clients hired her to resolve disputes – not create them. So, when she was hired by her client, she immediately formulated her plan for resolving the dispute to her client’s satisfaction – and in almost all cases, she accomplished that goal.
Based on that overall philosophy, Kathy went on to create a client following that was second to no one. Clients wanted her to handle their legal matters because of the attention to detail and service she provided them. Not only did that lead to an incredible volume of files she handled, but also production that was unmatched by anyone during my tenure with the firm. That attitude, along with her infectious laugh, made her a pleasure for clients to work with. She will definitely be missed.

Congratulations Kathy on a long and illustrious legal career.

I know your next chapter will be filled with many rounds of golf, bottles of wine with friends, travel adventures, and no more e-mails. Kathy, you will be missed!
